KSearch 1.5b Installation and Startup Information

The following types of files will be searched.

"html", "htm", "shtml", "txt"


If any files of those types contain sensitive information, eg passwords, they can be excluded from the search by adding them to the file /home/sites/opps-again.co.uk/public_html/websearch/configuration/ignore_files.txt.

Please wait while the number of files to be indexed is counted. This may take some time if your site is big.

There are 6836 index-able files on your website.

Indexing this number of files will cause the indexing process on the server to exceed the maximum time for a server process and the installation will fail. This websearch program is not suitable for your site as it is. The maximum number of files is 700.

You may be able to reduce the number of files to <= 700 by putting the paths to files and directories to be excluded in the file, /home/sites/opps-again.co.uk/public_html/websearch/configuration/ignore_files.txt.
You can use ftp to do this and then do the indexing process below.

Indexing your site.

Before you can search your site you must create an index. On your browser go to the Indexer http://www.opps-again.co.uk/websearch/indexer.cgi.
You will need this password: qeTff239 to run it.
Make a note of this URL and password in case you need to re-index at a later date.

When your site has been indexed you, and others, can search your site by going to the follwing url http://www.opps-again.co.uk/websearch/ksearch.cgi
